How could the genetic doom fatal inbreeding, speed up extinction for the orangutans?

If the population of orangutans gets too small, there will be greater inbreeding among the population. This would increase the risk of manifestation of recessive or deleterious traits. These traits are generally undesirable and decrease biological fitness of a population. This will speed up the rate at which orangutans will go extinct.
