If f(x) =3x^2 and g(x) =4x^3 +1 what is the degree of fg (x)

f°g(x) = f(g(x)) = 3(g(x))² = 3(4x³ + 1)².
Now, when you expand the bracket, you will find that the highest degree or degree of the polynomial is 6. 
∴degree of fg (x) = 6
