Next, the bill is read and debated in the House or Senate, allowing representatives or senators to express their opinions and make any necessary amendments. If both houses approve the bill, it is then sent to the President for their final decision. Finally, if the President signs the bill, it becomes law and is officially enacted. However, if the President chooses to veto the bill, it goes back to Congress, and they can override the veto with a two-thirds majority vote in both houses.
