If you bike for 3 hours at 10 mph and then walk for 1 hour at 2 mph, what would be your average speed? Please explain

Ok, so 3 and 10, remember that, then remember 1 and 2. Subtract them both, and that will be your average speed.

avg speed=total distance/time
total distance=3*10 miles + 1*2 miles= 32miles.
total time=4hours
avg speed=32/4 miles/hr
