How to sedimentary rocks from?

Sedimentary rocks are formed from compressed sediment. Sediment is a mixture of dirt, sand,and small particles of rock. After thousands of years, sediment that has been pushed down on will compress together forming sedimentary rock. I hope this answers your question! :)
