Use the distance formula to find the distance.

D=√(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2  (the entire equation is square rooted) 
Plug in your numbers 

D=√(4-1)^2 + (8-2)^2
D=√(3)^2 + (6)^2
D=√9+36
D=√45
D=3√5
D=6.7
