Why did civil rights become even more important to blacks following World War II?

Separate but equal schools worked well in some places, but not in others.


Jim Crow laws still prevented blacks from full participation in American life, despite service during the war.


They saw sophisticated, affluent black families on TV and wanted that life for themselves.


Blacks were receiving equal pay for their work so they wanted equality in other areas too.
