Well first of all, to have proper data, the number of students would have to be the same on both sides. It would also have to be specified that it was a professional cut and not one done at home for free. (before you come at me, i know you didn't make this question) The data is not proper to examine, but because of the big difference in the amount of people surveyed, i would personally say the median is a more appropriate choice, if we are keeping them separate and not comparing them with each other.
