by using Pythagoras theorem c2= a2 + b2

so let's say c= 17 and a= 7, let's calculate for b

(17)^2 = (7)^2 + b2

289= 49+b2

289 - 49 = b2

240 =b2

√249 = b

b = 15 . 49
