basically Germany wanted to take revenge bc of previous treaty so they don't look like a bunch of cowards and then they attacked Poland easily taking it down, then Japan decided to bomb pearl harbour and then ofc us wanted revenge that's how the US joined the allies side and got involved. hope this helped ik it's brief, I am studying history btw
