Answer: Even if he is a dying man, i find it admirable that he still wishes to know what was going on in the world. Morrie always had a kind loving heart. Morrie may have been dying but he seemed humbled with his fate and his life. The news may give him a sense of knowledge, Being sick, doesn't lessen his interest in the world.
