y=7

x-7y=(-48)----(2)* *Second equation

Put (1)* into y on (2)*

x-7(7x)=(-48)

x-49x=(-48)

-48x=(-48)

48=48x

48÷48=x

1=x or x=1--------(3)* *Third equation

Put (3)* into (1)*

y=7(1)

y=7
