Why do most mudflows occur in dry mountainous regions after a heavy rain fall?

Answer:

The reason for that is because in dry regions there are a lot of rocks and rocks are made minerals and dried up mud. So when they have heavy rainfalls the rain wets the rocks and it loses and eventually because mud and thats how mudflows happen.
