The Treaty of Versailles was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War I to an end. The Treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers.

The treaty was considered to be unfair towards the German people because they were forced to pay all war damages when it wasn’t entirely their fault. In fact Germany had gone bankrupt and that’s why they surrendered.
