One type of ant weighs about 3 x 10^-3 gram. The ant can carry close to 1.5 x 10^-1 gram of food. The amount of food, in grams, an ant can carry on its back is approximately how many times its own body weight, in grams? Give your answer in standard form.
Plz show steps :^)

Respuesta :

you divide the amount the ant can carry by its weight to see how many time its own body weight it is carrying.
(1.5x10^-1g)/(3x10^-3g)=5.0x10^1
=50 times their own body weight

(3x10^-3g)x50=0.15g (which 1.5x10^-1g)
I hope this helps.
