The Pinckney’s Treaty was considered the silver lining on the cloud of Jay’s Treaty for it convinced Spain to open New Orleans and lower Mississippi River to American trade. Due to this, the treaty marked a long term impact where it made the United States to trade and develop their economy. However, as they gain economic stability, they begin struggling against Spain for they are forced to push inwards to attain more land.
